Eleven-time Grammy-nominated sitarist, composer and producer, Anoushka Shankar releases her latest single We Burn so Brightly from her third and final instalment of mini-album trilogy.

The complete album will be released on 14 March, but now we can listen to two tracks from the album which gives an insight into this musical world, weaving intricate melodies in a seven-beat cycle:

The trilogy of mini-albums began with Chapter I: Forever, For Now in October 2023, and was followed by the Grammy-nominated Chapter II: How Dark it Is Before Dawn in April 2024.

In Chapter III, Shankar worked with London-based, Indian multi-instrumentalist Sarathy Korwar, one of the most original and compelling voices in the British jazz scene alongside composer and sarod player Alam Khan.

Shankar and Khan belong to two of India’s most legendary musical families. Their fathers, Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Khan, disciples of the legendary guru Baba Alauddin Khan who trained within the rigorous Maihar gharana tradition.
