Delius’s Hassan: The Golden Road to Samarkand

Britten Sinfonia gives a very rare performance of Delius’s full incidental music to Flecker’s 1923 play, Hassan. For this event we experience it in a compelling adaptation for orchestra, narrated by Zeb Soanes. In the first half, the scene is set by Egyptian-Australian oud virtuoso, Joseph Tawadros.
