This recital of sacred music of the English Musical Renaissance by Britain’s most distinguished 20th century composers is part of the Edinburgh Festival of the Sacred Arts.
The concert centres on Britten’s stunning ‘Abraham and Isaac’, alongside his lesser-known but beautiful Canticle ‘My beloved is mine’. Three rarely-performed Vaughan Williams songs and short works by Quilter and Howells complete the programme. With Sam Madden, tenor and Will Sims, piano.
